Nicholls State University announced that Dobee Plaisance has been hired as it's new Women's Basketball Head Coach. Click here for a link to the video of the press conference.
Coach Plaisance comes to Nicholls after spending 13 seasons as head coach at Loyola in New Orleans, LA. Coach Plaisance guided Loyola to back-to-back Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Regular Season Championships in 2006-2007 and 2007-2008. This past season, Coach Plaisance lead the Loyola Wofpack to a 28-7 record and a trip to the Elite Eight of the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship.
Thibodaux Dugout Club Show-Join us at 12:00 noon on Mondays at Bubba's II Restaurant & Sports Lounge for the weekly Thibodaux Dugout Club Show. Joining us will be Nicholls State University Baseball Head Coach Chip Durham and Nicholls State University Softball Coach Jenny Parsons. Bob Passman, the voice of Nicholls Baseball, will host the show. The show will be streamed live and available as a recorded podcast.

The game was steamed live and is also available as a recorded show. The game was the last of the season for Nicholls Men's Basketball. Thibodaux Roundball Club Show 12-17-2007-Hear Nicholls Men's Basketball Head Coach talk about their 78-65 victory over University of Louisiana-Monroe this past Tuesday and their 72-65 victory over the Lipscomb Bison on Saturday. Coach Piper also talks about their upcoming game at the University of North Carolina on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007. This is the first time in Nicholls' history that the Men's Basketball team will play the No. 1 ranked team in the country.

The Thibodaux Quarterback Club Show can be seen on the Louisiana Connection Network (LCNTV) on Wednesdays& Fridays at 6:30 pm and Thursdays 8:00 pm local time. LCNTV on Charter Communications systems is Channel 109 and on Cox Cable is Channel 140.
I would like to thank Nicholls State University Football Head Coach Jay Thomas for taking his time to be with us on Monday evenings to record the show. Without Coach Thomas we could not have a show.
Congratulations on another successful season, which included a win over Rice University and an overall winning record of 6-5. We have now come to expect an extremely competitive Nicholls football team. While it is nice to be competitive, everyone enjoys a championship season. Coach Jay Thomas and his staff now have us spoiled. We now expect to compete for a conference championship and a spot in the play-offs. Congratulations again.
